I need you...

Let me start by saying that I thank God every night since I found you. You came into my life when everything seemed so dark but you provided the light to find my way. I've never been so certain of anything in my life like I am of us. You have totally changed my outlook in life and I thank you for that. I never thought that someone could love me like you do, but guess what? I love you that much too. I feel as if I'm walking over clouds just thinking about you. You make my life complete.

I can be myself when I am with you. Your idea of romance is dim lights, soft music, and just the two of us. Because you make me feel like I have never felt before. I can tell you anything, and you won't be shocked. Your undying faith is what keeps the flame of our love alive. You and me together, we can make magic. We're a perfect match. Thinking of you, fills me with a wonderful feeling. Your love gives me the feeling, that the best is still ahead. You never give up on me, and that's what keeps me going. You are simply irresistible. I love you because you bring the best out of me. Your terrific sense of humor. Everytime I look at you, my heart misses a beat. You're the one who holds the key to my heart. You always say what I need to hear. You have taught me the true meaning of love. Love is, what you mean to me - and you mean everything. You are my theme for a dream.

Sometimes, I can't express to you the way I really feel inside. You tell me to believe in our love and allow it to grow but sometimes it's so hard when you have so many doubts. But I want you to know that no matter what happens I have always loved you and I always will. I know that we are going through some really hard times right now, and you are doing the best that you can to make good out of a bad situation. I just need to tell you that you are the answer to all of my prayers, and we will make it through this. I need you to see that I am still here. I need to hear that you still love me. I need to feel your arms around me. I need you.

What will you do if a person asked you for a second chance? What would be your decision?
We always have tough times in life and sometimes we may never chose to started of things the way they must be. Sometimes, we got a lot of pride never even thinking of other people. We choose to hurt some people's feeling because of this stupid pride in ourself but....we can never deny it..most especially when that person means a lot to you, you want a second chance for the both of you but you're just too afraid.

Everyone deserves chances in this world. Even us...we are given chances by the Lord to make our mistakes right. We may have the feeling of hatred towards this person and it's really hard to change our hearts if you never want to recall what really happen in your relationship. And forgiving is really a long process itself.

Talking about the past, our minds may not be free most especially if the past leaves a deep wound in our hearts. Because of this, we're afraid to give our trust again. That we're afraid to commit the same mistake and rather choose to let go and forget what really happened. Being with someone you loved is nice but being with someone you hate? That's hell!!!!So, how can you just totally forget about everything and just forgive that person?

But now in my situation,Its the other way around...I know I have made a ton of mistakes but I would like to put those behind , if at all possible, so I can move on with the rest of my life, live on with the good and leave the bad behind . I know that will be hard for me and her, especially after all that I have done, but if we could start all over again fresh from the beginning, I will never hurt her again because I know how much it hurts now that I have made the mistake which I regret to the fullest. I just want to be happy and I want her to be happy and feel safe that I'm never going to do that again.I know that it could take forever but I will stake that, especially because of how much I love her and how much this means to me.

Now, I realized that forgiving is really a long process. And now, I know how it feels to asking for a second chance...a new beginning...a new start....and a new hope...

+Alchemy+

Alchemy, as what has mentioned in the book that I got is the ancient art practiced especially in the Middle Ages, devoted chiefly to discovering a substance that would transmute the more common metals into gold or silver and to finding a means of indefinitely prolonging human life. Although its purposes and techniques were dubious and often illusory, alchemy was in many ways the predecessor of modern science, especially the science of chemistry.
The birthplace of alchemy was ancient Egypt, where, in Alexandria, it began to flourish in the Hellenistic period; simultaneously, a school of alchemy was developing in China. The writings of some of the early Greek philosophers might be considered to contain the first chemical theories; and the theory advanced in the 5th century bc by Empedocles—that all things are composed of air, earth, fire, and water—was influential in alchemy. The Roman emperor Caligula is said to have instituted experiments for producing gold from orpiment, a sulfide of arsenic, and the emperor Diocletian is said to have ordered all Egyptian works concerning the chemistry of gold and silver to be burned in order to stop such experiments. Zosimus the Theban (about ad250-300) discovered that sulfuric acid is a solvent of metals, and he liberated oxygen from the red oxide of mercury.
The fundamental concept of alchemy stemmed from the Aristotelian doctrine that all things tend to reach perfection. Because other metals were thought to be less “perfect” than gold, it was reasonable to assume that nature formed gold out of other metals deep within the earth and that with sufficient skill and diligence an artisan could duplicate this process in the workshop. Efforts toward this goal were empirical and practical at first, but by the 4th century ad, astrology, magic, and ritual had begun to gain prominence.
A school of pharmacy flourished in Arabia during the caliphates of the Abbasids from 750 to 1258. The earliest known work of this school is the Summa Perfectionis (Summit of Perfection), attributed to the Arabian scientist and philosopher Geber; the work is consequently the oldest book on chemistry proper in the world and is a collection of all that was then known and believed. The Arabian alchemists worked with gold and mercury, arsenic and sulfur, and salts and acids, and they became familiar with a wide range of what are now called chemical reagents. They believed that metals are compound bodies, made up of mercury and sulfur in different proportions. Their scientific creed was the potentiality of transmutation, and their methods were mostly blind gropings; yet, in this way, they found many new substances and invented many useful processes.
From the Arabs, alchemy generally found its way through Spain into Europe. The earliest authentic works extant on European alchemy are those of the English monk Roger Bacon and the German philosopher Albertus Magnus; both believed in the possibility of transmuting inferior metals into gold. This idea excited the imagination, and later the avarice, of many persons during the Middle Ages. They believed gold to be the perfect metal and that baser metals were more imperfect than gold. Thus, they sought to fabricate or discover a substance, the so-called philosopher's stone, so much more perfect than gold that it could be used to bring the baser metals up to the perfection of gold.
Roger Bacon believed that gold dissolved in aqua regia was the elixir of life. Albertus Magnus had a great mastery of the practical chemistry of his time. The Italian Scholastic philosopher St. Thomas Aquinas, the Catalan churchman Raymond Lully, and the Benedictine monk Basil Valentine (flourished 15th century) also did much to further the progress of chemistry, although along alchemical lines, in discovering the uses of antimony, the manufacture of amalgams, and the isolation of spirits of wine, or ethyl alcohol.
Important compilations of recipes and techniques in this period include The Pirotechnia (1540; trans. 1943), by the Italian metallurgist Vannoccio Biringuccio; Concerning Metals (1556; trans. 1912), by the German mineralogist Georgius Agricola; and Alchemia (1597), by Andreas Libavius, a German naturalist and chemist.
Most famous of all was the 16th-century Swiss alchemist Philippus Paracelsus. Paracelsus held that the elements of compound bodies were salt, sulfur, and mercury, representing, respectively, earth, air, and water; fire he regarded as imponderable, or nonmaterial. He believed, however, in the existence of one undiscovered element common to all, of which the four elements of the ancients were merely derivative forms. This prime element of creation Paracelsus termed alkahest, and he maintained that if it were found, it would prove to be the philosopher's stone, the universal medicine, and the irresistible solvent.
After Paracelsus, the alchemists of Europe became divided into two groups. One group was composed of those who earnestly devoted themselves to the scientific discovery of new compounds and reactions; these scientists were the legitimate ancestors of modern chemistry as ushered in by the work of the French chemist Antoine Lavoisier (see Chemistry). The other group took up the visionary, metaphysical side of the older alchemy and developed it into a practice based on imposture, necromancy, and fraud, from which the prevailing notion of alchemy is derived.

I've watched an interesting show in the TV, an anime kind of show, the FullMetal Alchemists. Fullmetal Alchemist is a Sci-fi manga set in the early 20th century in a country called Amestris in an alternate-historical Earth with technology dating from early 20th century Europe. In this alternate world, the pseudoscience of alchemy is heavily used in conjunction with acretian soul wanderers, but takes on a further fantastic element not seen in real-life alchemy. Real-world alchemists attempted to transmute gold from lesser metals. In the fictional world of the series, alchemy becomes the science of transmuting matter into different matter through the use of transmutation circles—based on real-world science, yet also magical, with seemingly infinite uses. Talented alchemists may apply to take a State Alchemist test to join the Amestris military's State Alchemists.
Edward and Alphonse Elric were children living in the rural village of Resembool in the country of Amestris. Their father, Hohenheim a talented alchemist, had left home when Edward was very young and Alphonse was still an infant. Years later, their mother, Trisha Elric, died of a terminal illness. After their mother's death, they lived with Winry and her grandmother until finding a Sensei (teacher) to teach them alchemy. After completing training, the came home with the intent of reviving their mother with the transmutation circle they found in ther fathers notes and made the attempt soon after acquiring the circle. However, this attempt failed, resulting in a twisted mass of flesh and bone at the cost of Edward's left leg and Alphonse's entire body. In a desperate effort to save his brother, Edward sacrificed his right arm to affix his brother's soul to a suit of armor. After that, Edward's left leg and right arm are fitted with two sets of Automail, a type of advanced prosthetic limb. In the original Japanese, the term "Fullmetal" is used to describe a person who is stubborn. In the series it is often attributed by minor characters to Ed's automail arm and leg, or Al's armor body. In the sixth manga, it is revealed that when an alchemist becomes a State Alchemist, they are given a special title. Edward's title was Fullmetal, making him Fullmetal Alchemist.
A State Alchemist by the name of Roy Mustang arrives during the failed human transmutation in response to letters the boys had sent out seeking information about their father (in the hopes that they could get the attention of their father so that he would come home). (Note: This event occurred differently in the manga. In that version, Mustang was in charge of recruiting new State Alchemists after the disastrous events of Ishbal caused many State Alchemists to leave the military service in disgust. A typo in the military records sent Mustang to Risembool in search of "Edward Elric, age 31." He was dismayed to find a crippled 11 year old instead, but wound up making the recruitment offer anyway.) After seeing their skill at alchemy, Mustang suggested that the way for the two boys to achieve their goals would be to become State Alchemists and work for him. Spurred on by the man's proposal, Edward set out to become a State Alchemist, enabling him to use the resources available to State Alchemists to discover a way to restore what he and Alphonse had lost. The brothers eventually learn of the Philosopher's Stone and set off in search of it as a means to restore their bodies. Along the way they discover secrets about the Philosopher's Stone they never wanted to know; and, find other people who seek it as well, doing almost whatever it takes to get their hands on it

Dragons

Dragon, a legendary reptilian monster similar in form to a crocodile and usually represented as having wings, huge claws, and a fiery breath. In some folklore of antiquity, the dragon symbolizes destruction and evil. This conception is found, for example, in Enuma Elish, a Mesopotamian creation epic written about 2000 bc. One of the central figures of the legend is the goddess Tiamat, a dragonlike personification of the oceans, who headed the hordes of chaos and whose destruction was prerequisite to an orderly universe. In the sacred writings of the ancient Hebrews, the dragon frequently represents death and evil. Christianity inherited the Hebraic conception of the dragon, which figures in all the important apocalyptic literature of the Bible, notably in Revelation, and appears in later Christian traditions. In Christian art, the dragon is a symbol of sin. It is often represented as crushed under the feet of saints and martyrs, symbolizing the triumph of Christianity over paganism.
In certain mythologies, the dragon is more generally credited with beneficent powers. The ancient Greeks and Romans believed that dragons had the ability to understand and to convey to mortals the secrets of the earth. Partially as a result of this conception of the monster as a benign, protective influence, and partially because of its fearsome qualities, it was employed as a military emblem. The Roman legions adopted it in the first century ad , inscribing the figure of a dragon on the standards carried into battle by the cohorts. The folklore of the pagan tribes of northern Europe contained both beneficent and terror-inspiring dragons. In the Nibelungenlied, Siegfried kills a dragon, and one of the principal episodes of Beowulf deals with a similar achievement. The ancient Norsemen adorned the prows of their vessels with carved likenesses of dragons. Among the Celtic conquerors of Britain the dragon was a symbol of sovereignty. The legendary monster was also depicted on the shields of the Teutonic tribes that later invaded Britain, and it appeared on the battle standards of the English kings as late as the 16th century. Beginning in the early 20th century, it was inscribed on the armorial bearings of the Prince of Wales.
The dragon also figures in the mythology of various Asian countries, notably Japan and China. It is deified in the Daoist (Taoist) religion and was the national emblem of the Chinese Empire. Among the Chinese people, the dragon is traditionally regarded as a symbol of good fortune.

Dragons... I've played a game in Platstation that focuses on dragons.. still the same description.. wings, breathes fire and eats soldiers. Hehehe... well the shocking part is that in game it is alter discovered that the dragons are the gods that briong about the salvation of the world. Well thats far out beyond whacky and crazy hehehehe...

Government Warning!!!!

Many of the youths have been using drugs nowadays. Especially teenagers at our age who doesn't still know that this would be a great damage into our life...But maybe, some of us have personal reasons why these things happen.
They may use alcohol and other drugs for many reasons. They may do it because they want to fit in socially, like what their friends are doing. They like the way drugs or alcohol makes them feel, or they want to feel more grown up. Teens tend to be risk-takers sometimes, even me, I also feel like "if only I could take all those risk" and they may take drugs or drink because it seems exciting. Teens who are at the biggest risk for developing serious alcohol or drug problems include those with family members who have problems with alcohol or other drugs. Also, teenagers who feel that they are not connected to or valued by their parents. This is really a common situation. Just imagine? It's like, they got all the freedom...because they think the way that their parents won't care about them anymore. Some used it most especially who have poor self-esteem or emotional or mental health problems (such as depression) are at increased risk. Teens may try a variety of substances, including cigarettes, alcohol, household chemicals (inhalants), prescription and nonprescription medications, and illegal drugs (most commonly marijuana).Substance abuse can increase risk-taking behaviors, which can have serious consequences. Alcohol and drug abuse is a leading cause of teen death or injury related to car accidents, suicides, violence, and drowning.
So...why should we bother used drugs if we know that it will just ruin our life?*Sigh*But still...many can't make up their mind...Some say that it was really hard to quit in it..But what I mostly see now with those teen agers at my age was they were holding a bottle of liquor and was holding a piece of cigarette. It's really miserable!!!! What could be that reason behind them?
If old people say that "they are the hope of our country"..it turns out to be the other way around...
Drinking maybe not that bad when we don't abused it. Coz in my part also, I would never say that I never got to drink even once in my whole life. Yes, I did but I know what I was doing.*laugh*...
It's just so sad how people ruin their lives because of it...When we come to think of it, there are still a lot of things we rather have to do than doing those bad stuffs and, we might not know, this things would help us improve as a person, not for the worst but for the better. Being a better person is an instrument of our success..so come to think of it guyz!!!!

"Love is a Fallacy by Max Schulman"

I was a cool, logical, keen, calculating, perspicacious, acute, astute and this person with lot of things in his mind! And I was just eighteen then.

I had this roommate named Petey in our university. An emotional , unstable and impressionable guy which I saw lying in his bed one afternoon with such distress on his face. I taught he was just suffering from appendicitis but I come to think that he might have been a mental problem when he mumbled that he wanted a raccoon coat. I asked him why he wanted some of it knowing that they smell awful and weigh too much and he answered me that the “Big Mens” in school are wearing them. He must have been jealous with these guys but when he interrupted me quickly, I realized that he really wants a raccoon coat.

This idea came up into my mind then. I remember,my father had one in his undergraduate days; it lay now in a trunk in the attic back home. But it also came up into my mind that it also happened that Petey had something I also wanted and that is Polly Espy, the girl I wanted . Petey didn't own her exactly for Polly wasn't his girlfriend but at least he had first rights on her. So I went home for a weekend then after my conversation with Petey, trying to do better than lending him some money to buy a raccoon coat and at the same time trying to make a deal with him.

I returned to the campus the next Monday morning bringing the raccoon coat of my father. Petey was so happy to see the raccoon coat. So I told him about the deal I'm planning and that is he'll only have it when he allows Polly and me to go on a date and he agreed with it.

I had my first date with Polly the following evening. I wanted to know how much efforts will I do to make up the standard mind I required for my future wife but..She had a lack of information. On our next date, we had a logic talked. But its sad when we have to end our conversation because it was really already late and I have to take her back to the dormitory.

On our next dates, I concluded now that Polly fits to be my wife. She really made me impressed about the last fallacy we discussed. And it does shows that she is really attentive in it.

I decided to tell Polly everything and what I really fell for her. And that right time came. I told her that I fell in love with her even just for five span of nights that we've been together but she answered me that it was all a fallacy. A Hasty Generalization, a false analogy, Ad Misericordiam and all those fallacies we talked about. And she told me that she will not go steady with me but instead to Petey. I was really disappointed and angry. I once again asked her why she chose Petey over me and asked her for a logical reason. She then told me that “Petey had a raccoon coat”.

GuitarS

Acoustic guitars

An acoustic guitar is not dependent on any external device for amplification. The shape and resonance of the guitar itself creates acoustic amplification. However, the unamplified guitar is not a loud instrument. It cannot compete with other instruments commonly found in bands and orchestras, in terms of sheer audible volume. Many acoustic guitars are available today with built-in electronics and power to enable amplification.
There are several subcategories within the acoustic guitar group: steel string guitars, which includes the flat top, or "folk" guitar, the closely related twelve string guitar, and the arch top guitar. A recent arrival in the acoustic guitar group is the acoustic bass guitar, similar in tuning to the electric bass.

Electric guitars

Electric guitars can have solid, semi-hollow, or hollow bodies, and produce little sound without amplification.
Electromagnetic pickups (single and double coil) convert the vibration of the steel strings into electrical signals which are fed to an amplifier through a cable or radio transmitter. The sound is frequently modified by other electronic devices or the natural distortion of valves (vacuum tubes) in the amplifier. The electric guitar is used extensively in jazz, blues and rock and roll, and was commercialized by Gibson together with Les Paul and independently by Leo Fender of Fender Music. The lower fretboard action (the height of the strings from the fingerboard) and its electrical amplification lend the electric guitar to some techniques which are less frequently used on acoustic guitars. These techniques include tapping, extensive use of legato through pull-offs and hammer-ons (also known as slurs in the traditional Classical genre), pinch harmonics, volume swells and use of a Tremolo arm or effects pedals. Seven-string solid body electric guitars were developed in the 1980s. Throughout the late 80's and 90's the seven string was popularized by the creation of the Ibanez Jem. The Jem was developed by Ibanez with close specifications and a specific feel that Steve Vai helped develop and master. Vai popularized the seven string and the seven string is heard in much of the rock music these days (earlier in jazz) to achieve a much darker sound through extending the lower end of the guitar's range. They are used today by players such as James "Munky" Shaffer, Dave Weiner, John Petrucci, Jeff Loomis, Steve Smyth, and Steve Vai. Meshuggah, Dino Cazares, Rusty Cooley & Charlie Hunter go a step further, using an 8 string guitar with two extra low strings. Although the most commonly found 7 string is the variety in which there is one low B string, Roger McGuinn (Of Byrds/Rickenbacker Fame) has popularized a variety in which an octave G string is paired with the regular G string as on a 12 string guitar, allowing him to incorporate chiming 12 string elements in standard 6 string playing. Ibanez makes many varieties of electric 7 strings. However, the most common method of achieving a darker, deeper sound is to tune the 6th string (E) to a low D, known as a 'drop D tuning'. Many of today's 'Dark Metal' and 'Nu Metal' bands use this tuning to add extra heaviness to their sound. Devin Townsend uses an 'open G' tuning to achieve his particular heavy sound. Edward Van Halen sometimes uses a device known as a 'Drop D Tuner' which is a small lever attached to the tuner of the 6th string which easily allows him to drop down to a D with ease.

Well whatever we use and choose, all that matters is that we can always enjoy ourselves with the soothing sound of the aacoustis guitar or the hard-core tune of the electric guitar. Some people are afraid to try to use the guitar becaude they might break it or whatever, some are really trying their best to learn (maybe for the next schoolyear ^_^) but all I can say is this, practice makes perfect really!! Just practice and practice nad practice.......... hehehe well you get the point.
